Christmas Eve 2009

We had a white Christmas in 2009. The weatherman actually said we had a "Blizzard Warning" for the first time in Tulsa County. It was great. Of course, I may not have thought it was so great if I still had my Mazda RX-8. But in March I traded it in on a 4 wheel drive tahoe and never had a problem in the Blizzard of 2009!!!!
On Christmas Eve it started snowing around noon. I was at work and it was so bad we got to close the store early at 3:30. The kids loved it. I loved it.
Heidi stayed the night with us. Tony, Tonya and Alexis also stayed the night here (and left the next morning to go to Grandmas).
The kids and Heidi made little Gingerbread houses that Susan had bought us to decorate.

We let Wyatt open his gifts from Aunt Angie and Tony and Tonya and Alexis opened their gifts from me and Wyatt and Grandma Suzanne and Heidi.

At 10:30 Christmas Eve night I opened the front door to check out the snow and the kids saw how much there was and went outside to play! Dixie and Princess also had to go play with them. So all three kids and two dogs playing in the snow in the moonlight. Heidi tried to push me outside. It was so much fun to watch the kids. Of course they had to change their pajamas into not snow covered pajamas.

We left cookies and milk for Santa.
We put Buttons in his box and underneath the Christmas tree for Santa to pick him up when he left Wyatts Christmas presents. Wyatt cried about Buttons leaving us.
  • It was great Christmas Eve memories. I hope we remember them forever!!!!
